The highlight of 2024 is the creation of the Rolex Series, which brings together six top equestrian events. Aimed at the show jumping elite, these 5* competitions are held throughout the year at prestigious equestrian shows on both sides of the Atlantic. Each one of them hosts the pinnacle of these events: a Rolex Grand Prix.
Winter Equestrian Festival Under the Florida sun
From January to March, in Florida, the Winter Equestrian Festival promotes horse riding as a way of life. For 13 weeks, riders from more than 40 countries and all 50 US states come together at the Wellington International complex. All levels are represented, from amateurs to the most renowned professionals. Some 7,000 horses, 4,000 riders and 1,000 trainers base themselves in Florida’s sunny climes for three months of international competition. The Rolex Finale Week is the culmination of the festival, with the highlight being the 5* Rolex Grand Prix, staged on the International Arena sand track in the Equestrian Village and featuring some of the world’s leading equestrian talents. Since 2012, Rolex has partnered with the elite equestrian centre, further enhancing the quality of competition. Through this relationship, the brand became Official Timepiece of the Winter Equestrian Festival.
CSIO Roma Piazza di Siena In the heart of the Eternal City
Nestled in the centre of Rome, the magnificent gardens of the Villa Borghese have been home to the prestigious CSIO Roma Piazza di Siena since 1926. Held in May, the four-day competition, which includes the Nations Cup, appeals to show jumping enthusiasts due to the beauty and heritage of its setting, as well as the sporting value of its events, such as the Rolex Gran Premio Roma. Since 2018, Rolex has been the Official Timepiece of this eminent competition and Title Sponsor of its esteemed Grand Prix.
CSIO Jumping International de La Baule A natural challenge
Since 1960, the Jumping International de La Baule has brought an outstanding sporting programme to a region steeped in equestrian tradition. In the month of June, the Stade François-André hosts the Derby Région des Pays-de-la-Loire, one of the last examples of a natural obstacle course in Europe, making it a unique occasion on the international show-jumping calendar. The Nations Cup and the CSIO5* Rolex Grand Prix Ville de la Baule are the highlights of this exceptional event, which features a host of competitions, all made available free of charge to a wide audience renowned for its passion.
Jumping International de Dinard A derby in Brittany
In Dinard, the Val Porée equestrian stadium is the setting for a 1,100-metre derby course that challenges riders and their horses to overcome 25 moveable and natural obstacles. The legendary Derby de Bretagne is one of the highlights of the Jumping International de Dinard, which attracts the world’s show jumping elite every July. Created in 1912, the event offers five levels of competition and 27 international events, including the Rolex Grand Prix de Dinard, the prestigious CSI5* that brings the competition to a close.
Dublin Horse Show On green grounds
Founded in 1934, the Dublin Horse Show is held every August on the lawns of the Royal Dublin Society Arena in the heart of Ireland’s capital. The world’s finest riders and their horses battle it out over five days of intense competition. The CSIO5* Rolex Grand Prix concludes this leading event, for which Rolex became Official Timepiece in 2024.
Brussels Stephex Masters A vibrant competition
First held in 2014, it has quickly established itself as one of the world’s most prestigious international show jumping competitions. Staged in the shadow of the Atomium, one of the city’s most famous landmarks, it hosts 200 of the world’s greatest riders and some 700 horses. The Brussels Stephex Masters is held in late August and early September. The two highlights of the event are the CSIO5* Henders & Hazel Nations Cup and the CSIO5* Rolex Grand Prix.
